What to Expect 

Embrace the mess.

As much as I would love to be everyone's cup of tea, I can't be.  And that's perfectly okay with me- it's part of the beauty of what makes each and every photographer unique. It's the reason why you may be drawn to one photographer's work, and not another's. It's the reason why certain images make you feel something, while other images don't. Photography is this amazing language that speaks differently to each of us, and it's really important to find a photographer whose images speak to you and tell the kind of stories you want to hold on to forever. What do you want to remember most when you look back on your images in 20 years?

I want to remember how my toddler's curls bounced in the wind as she played, how her little hands always found their way into mine when she wanted to feel safe. Maybe it's how  Mom's nose always scrunches up when she laughs, and how much Dad adores it. Brother's fascination with adventure, always off exploring and yet how tenderly he melts into Mom's arms when she calls him over to her lap. Maybe it's a moment of reflection together in those last several weeks before your new baby comes, hands on mama's belly as you think about the brand new adventure laid out before you as new parents. Imperfect moments. Wind-tossed hair. Authentic and messy. Unposed. Emotion. Movement. Telling your story as it happens, whatever it looks like. These are the moments I want to remember with my own family, and these are the moments I want to capture for you!
